I have had good luck with the Honeywell humidifiers
I have had good luck with the Honeywell humidifiers. I have tried several kinds of humidifiers within the past several years and these seem to hold up the best. Best of all, they don't require filters and really stand up to hard water. I am really bad about cleaning mine and they still seem to take a beating. I have had my other larger model for over 6 years now and it still works like a champ!

These smaller models work perfect for the kids' rooms and the water lasts all night if you keep it on the lowest setting.

This is nice for a small room (like a bedroom). Make sure you clean it after 3 weeks of use.
