The deluxe version will still detect a baby's slightest movements, even while she sleeps, and sound an alarm if no movement whatsoever is detected for 20 seconds. The NEW Deluxe Model has many added features. The Nursery Unit has a soft nightlight and room thermometer. The temperature is displayed on the Parents' Units, which can alert you when the temperature falls out of your preset range. Additional new features include an out-of-range indicator, a Parents' Unit locator, optional voice activation and a color LCD on each Parents' Unit which displays all the data. Each Parents' Unit comes with 4 AAA rechargeable batteries and a charging base. This monitor continues to offer an optional tic feature. If movement is detected, they will tick. Additional features include sound lights and movement indicator lights. The NEW Deluxe Angelcare® model operates on both 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz frequencies. The sound monitor operates on the 900 MHz frequency so there is no interference from 2.4 GHz equipment. The monitor has 8 channels and an 820-ft. range.

Really a great product.
I received this as a gift. I had registered for a much simpler baby monitor, and I thought this was kind of over the top, but I'm so glad I got this one. Having two cordless parent units is VERY convenient, and I love the fact that I can even monitor the temperature of her room if I want to. There are a lot of features that you can choose to use if you want, or you can simply turn them off, but they're there if you ever want them. Be aware that the under-mattress sensor is very sensitive and will even pick up vibrations from ceiling fans and mobiles, etc, so you kind of need to make sure that anything that will interfere with the sensor is off. That's a good critique, though, because it means that if something happens and your baby stops breathing, it will pick up the lack of motion and alert you. It is a really awesome product, and well worth the money.
Simple. Easy to install. Works great.
No idea what the complaints about the ticking noise are. I just plugged mine in and have been using it with the factory settings for months. Works great, no problems. As everyone else said it is a great product and a huge relief to have it when you have an early rolling tummy sleeper like our son. I've had mine for five months now and I'd recommend it to anyone - in fact, I'm on this site now to buy one for my brother and his wife who had a new baby this morning.
Great for infants. . .once they move in their sleep, is another story!
This was a HUGE piece of mind when we had our son over a year ago!! However, some warnings for those purchasing this; 1. once our son started rolling over, the alarm would go off (yah, it's working! however, night after night, we decided to disable that feature, as he kept rolling close to the railings on the bed). The sensor pad is great, however, it doesn't detect movement from all around. Also, during the summer, whenever we have his ceiling fan on, it created enough movement to have his decorative blanket hit the side of the mattress (therefore creating enough movement for the alarm not to go off - we found this out by accidentially leaving the monitor on after we took him out of his crib). 2. Sometimes in the middle of the night, we get our neighbor's children crying, vs. ours. We switch between "A" and "B" on the monitor, however sometimes that does not help. :o) We live on a 1/4 acre lot, so we're not "that" close to neighbors . . . close enough, I guess :o)
Other than these two things, this was a good monitor for the peace of mind it gave us during the "SIDS" age of greatest concern.
